What is UE* you ask?

Well, it is a lot of things to a lot of people. It is everything from exploring abandoned structures, abandoned towns, cemeteries, industrial plants, drains, tunnels, mines and anything that has been left to decay. For most explorers, it's about the dark beauty in a decaying building. For others it's about the history of a site or the architecture of a building. Still others enjoy the adventure of just locating places that time seems to have forgotten. Most explorers are photographers whether amateur or professional, it seems to go with the territory. I think most of us are adrenaline junkies that enjoy the thrill as well.

*(For argument's sake, UE covers both city and rural exploration. It has become a catch-all name and I intend to allow it to remain as such.)

We will be meeting once a month, at least, for a roundtable discussion where we can share stories, pictures, video, information, leads, etc. We will be acting as a network for explorers to find each other and places to explore. As most UE sites do NOT lend themselves to a larger group, individuals are encouraged to explore together outside the realm of the group, and there may be limits on the number of people that can attend certain events. However, we will do our best to find locations and plan events that will be open to everyone.
